Americans show what they value by the way they act. For example, many people will take classes to help them improve their English and also they improve their understanding of life in the United States. L. Robert Kohl is a director of the Washington International Center. For him there are thirteen basic values that help foreign visitors understand “95% of American actions”. The two examples of actions that I observed are change and time and its control. On change most Americans prefer new things and new ways of doing things. For example, they usually buy new cars or new technology like phones or TV’s for their homes. On time and its control most Americans are busy do not have time, so they eat the fast food like pizza or McDonald's so they could not be late for them jobs.

Reading and writing about literature #8
When Henrietta got very sick, she went to Johns Hospital for care. I think that Johns hospital abused Henrietta’s rights when TeLinde and Gey where using her cells to conductr experiments. I think that TeLinde and Gey did not inform Henrietta that they were using her cells for different experiments.
Henrietta signed a consent form that said, "I hereby give consent to the staff of The Johns Hospital to perform any operative procedures and under any anesthetic either local or general that they may deem necessary in the proper surgical care and treatment of Henrietta". Based on this statement, I do not believe Telinde and Gay had the right to obtain a sample of her cervix to use in their research. Henrietta signed the consent for her uses of her proper surgical care and treatment, not to use her cells to find the cure for cancer. I think that it would be different if the Johns hospital had given information to Henrietta that cell was used for other experiments and that they where send to different countries. I don’t think Henrietta would have accepted to use her cells for other experiments and to be sending to other countries.

A Childhood Relationship
Rosa Murudumbay was an important person in my childhood. She is my sister. She is two years older than me. My sister always is there for me when I was feeling sad. When I did not know what to do when I had problems, she always helped me to resolve them. We are like a couple, best friends, and like parents helping each other. For example, one day I did not have money and I wanted to buy a jacket so she gave me money to buy one. Another example is when I was 13 years old, I was in a soccer team and I had a game on Saturday about my dad could not take me to the game so I could not play. My sister saw that I was sad so she took me to the soccer game. In general she used her time to be with me like practice soccer, go shopping and listen to me. My sister is an important person in my childhood for all the things she did for me.
